DevOps Engineer. ( San Antonio Texas, USA)

Job Description:

Novetta is seeking a DevOps engineer to support our USAF customer in San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of how the Government uses DevOps and Continuous Improvement/Continuous Deliver (CI/CD) to deliver code. The candidate will be able to identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues within the DevOps cycle and pipeline. The candidate will have an in-depth understanding of how Kubernetes and Docker work together within a DevOps platform. The candidate will have in-depth understanding of AWS Cloud infrastructure and how DevOps integrates within the Cloud. A candidate with a desire to solve complex problems is an excellent match for this position

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work with other Novetta teams providing oversight and knowledge on design and features for implementation supporting our customers operational mission
  • Understand containerization concepts and technologies such as Kubernetes, docker, ansible, Jenkins, Terraform and how these applications fit into the DevOps lifecycle
  • Be familiar with and able to work within a SAFe/Agile framework in a dynamic environment
  • Team player, able to collaborate and communicate with other team members decomposing large tasks into small testable tasks

Basic Qualification:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role. May include a bachelor’s degree in IT, Network or Systems Engineering, or equivalent discipline and 3+ years of professional experience or an associate degree in IT, Network or Systems Engineering or equivalent discipline and 5 years of professional experience
  • 1+ years of hands on Ansible experience
  • Experience with Docker, Terraform and/or AWS Cloud
  • Experience with software release pipelines
  • Experience with Virtualization (Net and Ops VMs), Network Infrastructure, Automation, DevOps, and Python
  • Hands on CI/CD based development and CI/CD tool sets (Chef, Git, Jenkins)
  • CISSP, CASP+ or CSSLP

Desired Skills:

  • 1+ years of hands-on Kubernetes experience.
  • Expert level knowledge with containerization
  • 3+ years experience employing Ansible playbooks
  • 2+ years experience in a DevOps lifecycle

Security Clearance:

  • TS/SCI.
